Well! I never thought it would happen to me but I walked into a shopping mall today...running late meeting a friend for lunch...when I heard a voice behind me say 'excuse me' . I turn round to see a tall handsome man in front of me.
'I am sorry to disturb you. I hope you don't think me rude but...I was wondering...would you like to have dinner with me sometime?'
A tall dark handsome stranger.....walking up to me....asking me out? ????? I am waiting for candid camera!!!!!

I didnt know what to say and foolishly said...I am going to meet a friend for lunch! Lol!!
He said 'not now!...but when you are free'
He asked my name..if I was single and if I would mind if he took my number. He offered to give me his instead or as well. I declined and said that was fine....
He texted me this evening to say it was lovely to meet me, that he was going to be away until 13th but he would contact me on his return!
I am still blown away by it! That sort of thing never happens to me! Lol x |

Got me thinking...why dont we do approach people like that more often? Why do we hide behind our computer screens? It took guts for him to do that and I really appreciated the impulsive gesture...even if he wasnt so handsome and even if I never see him again. ..it was still a lovely thing to do and left me with a smile on my face. Thats what life is about! |

happened to a friend of mine years ago ...she parked up and ran into a newsagent for a snack and a drink and on exiting the newsagent a guy was stood there with a bunch of flowers and said ...'sorry to bother you but i just had to tell you that you are a truly stunning woman ...here is my business card ...if you would like a drink sometime ...please get in touch'

Years ago I got a parking ticket and a note was left under my wiper... It said if you want me to pay your parking ticket call this number and meet me for a drink.
I had the drink and paid my own ticket.... I thought it was a sweet approach. |

I think people have got so busy...rushing to meetings etc...we forget time..I hate to say it but the nation have become un friendlier (I am not saying all) also I'd be afraid that someone would think I'm a complete nutter if I went up to them...I see people everyday so I think you look nice if I walk past them I smile at them then I think to myself what are you doing you nutter!!! Lol |
