I have looked at toaster's last year, they are so cheap and plasticy looking and these days anything electrical has a very short shelf life.

I’ve maintained it for 20 years. This old broom has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time.

Immersion heater that must be 40 years old! My sister recently nudged the cable and shorted it out. The old cable insulation crumbled like a biscuit when I replaced it but the heater is still going strong!
