Isnt it funny - when you are a kid that on the weekends on your way off to play out - you would look at all the "old fogeys" washing thier cars and deem that you would never be like that!!!
Today, i have wasehd and waxed the car - AND hoovered it out and tidied it, cleaned the house windows, cleaned the kitchen.
Had a few beers and a BBQ - and the sad part of it - i actually enjoyed it!!!
All of it!!!
When did this transformation into an old fuddy take place???
I didnt feel it happening.....
Going to drown my sorrows now in more beer and go reek some havock and pretend i am young again!!! |

It sneeks up on you when you aint looking, jasper carrot says he noticed he was getting older , when getting up from a chair he started making grunting noises....
like it was too difficult for him to do. lmao
and he knew he had reached "that" age when he started admiring "cardys" in moss bros windows !!!!
after that its washing and waxing cars etc |

With a two week old son I have mixed emotions at the moment. I feel young because I have a young family but then I think about when he's 20 and I'll be 63 and boy it wakes me up with a start to think that there is a distinct possibility that I won't live to see his children.
The whole experience has made me ponder those who have their children young and struggle and those that wait and have them later in life but can give them a lot more in terms of material things.
I guess in an ideal world I'd have loved to have had all my children before I was 25 but with a damn good job to finance it all lol
I wouldn't swap my situation for anyone else's though, my karma is my karma and I'd rather have 20 years watching him grow than none at all. |

i realised that im getting old other day, i was stood in the shop, looked down...i had my slippers on!..and i didnt even care lol
