"is it right as from today you get charged to use whatsapp. heard so many different stories"
It's free for 12months after that I think it's something like 65p. It's a one-off payment and you never need to pay again. |

69p is a yearly subscription charge after your initial free year. |

I think if I remember rightly when the upgrade was due on it I had to pay £0.69 to use it. It wouldn't work otherwise, cant remember if that was a one off or yearly |

There is a hoax text going round asking you to fwd the message to 10 people or your account will be deemed as inactive.
Yes it's free for 12 months then about 69p per year. Although I believe Blackberry users aren't charged for some reason |

All the bullcrap chain-letters have started since the Facebook buy out was in the news. I'm sure it will stay pretty much as it has been. Ignore anything you get from friends - they usually passed along and along with no legitimate source so only believe what whatsapp tells you themselves. I'm sure they have ways of contacting everyone if they needed to. |

Lucky you. I paid last year and have just paid again this year as it wouldn't send any messages until I did! 69p won't break the bank though so it's all good. |

Those daft whatsapp chain letters have been doing the rounds for as long as I've had the app, I knew there would be a spurt once the fb buyout was confirmed.
Can't imagine they are gonna start charging! Eveyuone would just get shot of the app and start using kik/viber etc. |

I think android etc is 69p a year. iPhone is 69p for the app then free (or at least it has been up till now) I got it on a free app a day thing years back and haven't paid but I could live with 69p a year it's a damn site less than paying to send pics and videos |

I've never paid for it. I do remember getting a mail about it a couple years ago. I took it off and uploaded it again a couple months later. As I don't use it much it didn't bother me. |

I've had what's app since it was created not sure how long that is as time goes so quick...it's got to be at least 3yrs and I've never paid for it... My phone is iPhone not sure whether that makes a difference or not......
But do agree a cost of 69p really wouldn't break the bank... I pay £42 for my contract .... So hay ho!!!
Nothing in this world is for FREE!!!! |
