I'm thankful my mum and dad are both still alive. Making the most of the time we have together is really important. I'm grateful we live close enough to each other again to see each other every few weeks. I find it hard to contemplate them not being there, so I don't, and just enjoy the time we have

My dad had just come out of his seat at home and they was thinking he had cracked his hip so I called doc they sent him to hospital... I had a tummy bug that week and he got that too and I was thinking it was my fault he died .. had an aneurysm . We was called I was the one got there first he died with a smile on his face and looked 10 years younger and day before asking me to take him home so I was in shock thinking if I had would he be alive. I dream of him all the time we was so close and loved being here most days with me. His birthday tomorrow .

My dad died very unexpectedly almost a yr next month(march) so miss him tons as well I was very much a daddy's girl, love my mum to bits and now just worry about her constantly even though I know she is able to manage, but she seems to have become more depending on me to do everything for her, that I sometimes don't have time to have time for me, hence why I kind of disappeared from here for a few months was getting bogged down a lil, and I just can't stop thinking. Guess its better to just be busy than to talk, even friends don't truly listen to me so I end up just shutting off and basically listen to them with there problems issues, but if I ever need to talk funny they never seem to want to listen and need to be busy. Still like that been so down lately that I've just been crying myself to sleep thinking no one cares meh sorry

Wow - the timing.

My Dad would have been 80 tomorrow. A Welshman born on St David's Day - no prizes for guessing his name.

He died many years ago.

Yeah my dad had a tummy bug over the weekend hadn't been feeling to great as the rest of the family had the flu so he had been running around after us, and well it had been getting worse, got him to the doctors who made him go to the hospital, I went with him and he looked so frail and he was and used to be strong as an ox just sort of went downhill quick over 2 months, anyhoo, we were joking while I waited so was really last time we saw him, spoke to him next day on phone and he sounded bright but we had people come to door at 3am in morning saying he had passed, had been a shock so know how you might have been feeling sort of lost the months last yr hugs for you

i will miss my parents until the day I die. I think everyone does. You lose one parent then you are so busy looking after the one that is left, then they pass on and ouch what hurt it causes.

Definitely . Your parents always believe in you, whatever you have done . It's an unconditional love that I greatly miss.
