"I've just recently purchased a pocket sprung mattress from Ikea that has a layer of memory foam and I don't think that I've ever had a better nights sleep!"
I've a memory foam topper on my pocket sprung mattress. It's great |

I have memory and it's very comfortable the negatives as previously mentioned can't turn over the matress . Also because the foam is so dense air doesn't flow through so u do sweat especially in summer. But overall very comfortable. |

We have two on the spare beds, almost all guests comment on how comfortable they are. Though I personally don't like them much, much prefer a very hard mattress. |

"I have one and they are really comfy but...........hold the heat really bad and i am always to hot...summer is a nightmare "
They hold the heat in the summer , sleep naked with no bed sheets on , in the winter , can be cold to start with soon warm up, and snuggly
Sweating and or gushing is a problem , if it gets wet takes an eternity to dry, regularly need airing eg pulling the bed clothes back,
If they get wet or damp too often or for to long the foam gets damaged .
If you air it every day , keep it clean like washing sheets more than weekly it will be brilliant. I don't think they are designed for people that are always on the bed watching the tv etc
If you get a thick one mine is 10 inches thick you will have difficulty getting sheets, for it
Best ever nights sleep I have ever had, I would never go back to a sprung mattress, I have a hypnia , not much different to the cheap 6 inch I bought of ebay for 130 two years ago .

I toss and turn all night and we found that the memory foam was a might mare. Because it moulds to you, when I went to turn over, it was like climbing up a hill lol.We put the very expensive new mattress on the guest bed and used the older one on ours.

I have a Tempur-Pedic king size mattress with Putnam memory pillows, and I love them.
The only thing I don't like about it is the way it can suck the heat out of me when I first get into bed, especially in the winter - though I find a decent electric blanket sorts that out fine whilst still allowing the memory foam to do its stuff. |

"Are they really that good?
Any recommendation's
"
Oh my god yes yes yes. But nit for se as no bounce lol
Mine is a sleeptight one and expensive but worth every penny.
I suffered with lower back pain for years and since having it my back has got so much better.
Bit of a dip now as it has moulded to my body shape but sooooooo comfy. I did turn it but was less comfy so put it back as was.
Love love love it |

"How good is the memory, I mean, could you be caught out when the missus finds a different bodyshape molded to her side of the bed?
"
No goes back to shape after, unless the same body is in it night after night after night. |
