Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
"Is back on tonight....I end up a blubbering mess watching it....but it's so cute seeing the babies being born....
Have you seen one in real life?
"
Seen one? I've squeezed one out!
I was just going to post this myself. I love watching it, and it always gets me filling up. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I can't watch it as I end up crying.
Helping at a birth is one of the most lovely and special things that you can do and I really treasure the memories of helping my friends and my sister.

"Hmm is 40 and single too late to rethink whether you want children? "
Not at all. I had a colleague who made it clear that when I appointed her for the job that she would be having one or possibly two maternity leave periods. She was 39 at the time and hadn't wanted children until then. She didn't have a partner and wasn't going down the insemination route. She had a husband and two children within four years.

I rarely watch it even though I agree with most on here that it is amazing seeing a childbirth, the screaming gets to me! I watched it tonight and felt so bad for the fella that missed his daughter being born, he'll regret going home and not sleeping by his partners side forever...I wouldn't have bloody let him go home no matter how tired he was! It's the women carrying the extra weight and the uncomfortable bump for about 5-6 months and the bleeding men are the ones that get tired and need a rest! |

Bring backs so many memories of childbirth.. singing 'we wish you a merry xmas' really loudly in theatre with 9 other people as i was hunched over and being given my spinal...
Was my way of not trying to think about it.. they all joined in too which made it funny lol.. |

The scruffy looking flash git looked bored out of his mind.. he was not interested at all had no clue what to do..
I had the retained placenta the chinese girl had with my first lost 4 pints of blood, hubby says it was all over the walls. They had to call the flying squad out from Reading to the local hospital for emergency intervention.
I cannot remember holding my baby at all guess they whisked her out the way whilst dealing with me.
2nd one i had to have at the main hospital didnt hold him either he was 5 weeks premmy they wrapped him in tin foil stuck him under my nose ( he looked like a skinned rabbit) and whisked him off to the baby unit.
Things are very different 40 years on. |
