On news amongst others uk preparing to donate funds to ukraine this is in addition to owt the eu we belong too so if money is being given then do it through eu.
Why on earth do we have to give even more when we constantly told we are skint.
i believe ukraine should be helped otherwise in my view the russians will take ukraine by force.

Ukraine isn't yet in the EU though. It wants in and the protection of the EU. How would the EU make the decision to help at this stage?

I have many colleagues in the Ukraine and familiar with the situation them.
But I really cannot comment on this either. I deleted my comment too. But they are between a rock and a hard place. The EU and the USA is interested in promoting democracy, and there is Russia who had a very close ally (ex president).
I am concerned about the outcome of the previous events more than the money that will be sent because of my friends, colleagues and their families out there.
However, life for them hasn't been affected yet. Other than the closure of the metro being closed in kiev and avoiding the city centre.
