"Mine would be Eastenders. Nothing against soaps as such but this one has to be the worst of the lot. No humour, recycled storylines, and on too often. "
you'd cancel one of the biggest shows on your own tv channel? |

"Motd....it not a sport anymore when shrek gets paid 300 grand a week"
Some of the football definitely, there is just too emphasis and air time devoted to it and all those secondhand out of date ex player pundits.
However when it costs a minimum of £31 for an adult ticket and most £53 and the ground holds 80000 (had to look all that up) I have no problem with the the clubs only real income earners (the first team) getting well paid for the money they bring in, I just wish that the merchant wankers (sorry freudian slip I meant bankers) produced as good an income stream without continually breaking the laws of this and other countries. |

Apart from Wembley I can't think of another ground that holds 80,000. I think the biggest premier league one (Old Trafford) holds 76,000 (ish) and the average is around 50,000. As for the merchant (W)Bankers. I think you will find there is more oil money in the premiership than financial sector cash. |

Firstly as I said I looked up the numbers and according to Man U their ground hold 80,000 but I will bow to your superior knowledge.
Second if you read what I said I was comparing the salaries of premiership footballers and their professional probity to that of the financial sector. And just to make it clear, tell me the last time that the premiership was accused of systematic cheating and match fixing across the whole of the league? You know, like the sub prime selling financial crisis or the LIBOR scandal, or how about PPI. Do you think that if that had been the premier league it would still be business as usual.

you could... but you would lose a lot of money for the bbc...
because top gear is shown as is, or the format remade in tons of countries, it makes a shed load of money for bbc worldwide..... and that money goes back into programming |

Eastenders..... seems to be on every bloody night - if I wanted to be unhappy at home that often I would've stayed married
90% of the 'comedy' on bbc1..... if it isn't fucktards like Michael McIntyre or John Bishop flogging dull routines it's stuff like Citizen Khan (really? REALLY? Is it still 1975?) or Mrs Browns Boys. Even bbc2 is struggling for good new stuff (apart from Weekly Wipe, quality)
The Voice - seemingly made from itv brainstorming leftovers, which should be enough to condemn it outright.
BBC rolling news coverage - concise, accurate journalism and expert opinion being replaced by conjecture and opinion spouted by arts and media graduates with nice teeth and hair but no insight.
Jonathan Ross' shows - seems to be just for him and his mates to have a larf on tv. His agent has cornered the market for getting the gigs on there.
Top Gear - yaaaaaaaawwwwwwwn. Millionaire gobshite Clarkson peddling the same tired characature of himself to flog the series abroad. Apparently Scotland are seeking independence so they can block this programme being broadcast. Lucky bugger...
Right, one spleen vented for the time being
I'm not normally so curmudgeonly you know. |

Top gear off here too. Miranda. Midwives show, gone. Eastenders, chopped. All cookery shows, yawn. This Week, it is dire. 7 o clock show. MUST save Radio 4, inc gardeners question time. But lose the archers and most if not all radio 4 plays. Womans Hour to become Swingers Hour. |

I would simply divide each day into hourly slots and arrive at a _iewing / listening minimum for that slot, any program's that hit targets would stay, those that don't could be moved or scrapped. Providing a service that is aimed at earning does not require me to like it. |
