Depends on the 'reason'
If you're turning someone down or delivering bad news - subtle often wins over blunt - although blunt may be necessary in some cases.
If you're giving good news or trying to make the point that you're interested - blunt over subtle. Else they may think the worst! |

I am a naturally shy person so find it difficult to be blunt, i also care too much about hurting others feelings so i tend to say nothing...ever
