United We Stand? Independent Yorkshire a Good or Bad Idea ?

Do you think that a fully independent Yorkshire would be a good thing?

Instead of a passport, people need to drink a pint of bitter to prove they are not a Jesse. You can keep the pound, we can have our own currency called the 'how much!!!'. We have enough mushy peas fields to keep us self reliant for centuries.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Are you starting a new War of the Roses?

You've got Betty's so you will all survive and prosper. You have your own tea as well.

As long as the rest of Yorkshire recognises York as the natural seat of power I am all for this.

Got to admit if the Scots can.....

After all what is a Yorkshireman, it's just a Scotsman with the generosity squeezed out of him......

We've got one. Although the Government says that Fylingdales isn't a missile base, I reckon they're fibbing.

You have to keep the economy going somehow. Think of the 'how much' will change hands.

an independent Yorkshire might be a bit of a stretch but a reconstitution of the ancient kingdom of Northumbria might stand a realistic chance of independence - and for the uninitiated, Northumbria is as it says on the tin: North of the Humber.
