Have a very weird internal system that doesnt give u any no matter how much u drink, which especialy pisses off your irish girlfriend
Best way is to rehydrate before bed to prevent it. Hangover is caused by dehydration, so lucozade sport in the morning, or one of those gym drinks will boose your electrolytes and rehydrate u faster.

Hydration, good pint of water before you go to bed it helps to flush out the system and combat dehyration alcohol causes. The main reaosn for migraines and headaches in general is poor hydration. And as oreo said a high glucose drink like lucozade is good for neutralising the stomach acids (sick feeling)as well as giving you a much needed energy boost |

Rest, hydration - this could include an isotonic drink: some in the shops are likely overpriced, so consider making your own, and slow release nutrition.
Don't overload any of your body systems afterwards, as you're already in that state, whilst toxins have been released.
Avoid mixing drinks too, and caffeine may help you feel more alert, at an appropriate time. |

If I'm not at the puking stage, I've found a bike ride helps. You feel really horrible for the first few minor!es, then after 7 or 8 start to feel pretty good.
Best not do it on the road though. |
