It's quite bizarre the joy something like that can give you. Everytime I buy a new frying pan it's the best thing ever.
I read it first that you bought New York and was really confused.  |

Today my day has been made brighter by making a fool of myself.
I was sure it was the Old Man's birthday on the 20th and owing as to a mistake, I thought today was the 20th, so I phoned him up to wish him many happy returns, notwithstanding that I'd have been a day late. He told me his birthday was on the 25th. I had to ask if he was sure. As I was positive it was the 20th. He was pretty definite about knowing his own birthday.
Obviously when I got in, I checked on the calendar and that said the 20th, so it was official. I called him back and asked to double check. I was told that at the age of 71 he isn't that far gone that he can't remember what day he gets to open his cards and presents...
I've amended my calendar.... |
