How important is the voice, vocal tone?

Jump to: Newest in thread

As title, how important do you rate someone's voice, can it be a deciding factor whether you get on with them or whether you play or not.

I would say yes myself.

Take Anna Sloan for example, a great curler maybe (good for spooning?) but no way could i get excited about someone who squeaks.

The mother of my eldest, before we met in person, referred to me as The Voice whenever she talked about me to our rep who visited her firm.

Indeed, not a few females have remarked on my dulcet tones over the decades

For me personally voices play a big part in attraction - I like my men to sound like men!!

Taking it a step further, accents play a part too, there are some that I love and some that I can't abide, I'm not going to share which are which tho, I don't want to offend anyone!!

i thought you meant as in singing, but i guess you mean just talking.

im more of a fan of an accent rather than a voice tone, however, a squeaky voice can put me off, no matter the accent used

Come on, Hercules, did you really think some were saying a well sung song could influence whether they had a meet or not?

My speaking voice generally very soft and low, I'm a pretty good singer though

i generally only read the first post on these kind of threads, because usually they go way of tengeant and by the 30th post it would probably have been talking about kylies ass or something lol.

so would rather comment on the OP rather than whats being discussed halfway through lol

Nope, not accepting that answer as the OP was obviously referring to the speaking voice, not singing

I've been told I have a set voice and that it's one if my best features....

Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing... No good having a great voice but being fuck ugly.

You already know Katherine Jenkins but check out the likes of Elina Garanca, Diana Damrau and Angela Gheorghiu. The days of the 'fat lady' singing are well and truly over

Hmm, oh yes a good voice is so sexy, I like a manly voice with a good accent, and mine are often complimented.
