hi there my daughter had her tongue pierced, it swelled up quite a bit & she couldnt talk very well for a few days, she said it felt like she had a gob stopper stuck in her mouth, i hope this info helps but i think the best thing to do is go & ask the piercer for advice & go from there or you could have it done on a friday when theres a bank holiday so youve got a few days to recover before going back to work, good luck |

I'll off for a week and thought then but got told that it can take 2 weeks for the swelling to go down. |

everyone reacts diff to getting it done some can eat and drink as normal others find it harder, dont listen to anyone else you need to just do it and find out what happens it might be sore for some one else but not for the next person |

Read a story in the paper over the last few days about a Welsh lass who had hers done in a "piercing parlour" and was found dead a couple of days later. Some sort of infection had set in, so please be careful that you're in good health before you go and that you go to somewhere reputable. |

had mine done yonks ago like 6-7 yrs ago or maybe even longer.. and still have it
hurts a tiny bit for a couple of seconds when being pierced but once its done mine didnt hurt at all
swollen for maybe 3 days which was hard to eat with, slight speech difference but nothing major and was gone by the time my tongue was back to its normal size
i love my piercing and its here 4 life lol
saying that my sis had hers done and she got an infection (she smokes which didnt help, we were told) nothing that a good mouthwash didnt sort out though
good luck |
