"Pulp Fiction again 9/10
Prior to that a France/Canada subtitled film called Incendies. When a film is very much on your mind a week after watching it you know it's a good one... 9/10"
I like French films |

It's actually set in a non specified middle eastern country, probably Lebanon, and Canada. |

they have realism about them. I can't get engrossed in Hollywood movies they are usually all effects or sympathy |

"Midnight express 9 out of 10"
I thought that was a fantastic movie when it was first released, mainly because it was supposed to be a true story, - alas, evidently it wasn't!! |

Rush - 7/10 (Glad it didn't sidetrack much from the real story. Acted better than I thought it would be).
War Horse - 5/10 (Lovely story but the acting was a bit naff and was over-done at times!).
Les Miserables - 10/10 (Sorry, I'm a Hugh Jackman fan! Loved the songs, loved the scenery and it did quite well for a musical, I thought!). x |

Last film was Wolf of Wall Street, I would rate it a fairly good 7 out of 10. By far the worst was The Devil Inside. It was only about an hour long. I was thinking to myself "this is poor. When is it going to get going? And when the credits started to roll, I was dumbfounded. I nearly asked for my 7 quid back |

I don't get the love for Lone Survivor.
Sure it was watchable but I found it to be typical Peter Berg cheese. I can't abide a movie that has guys coming out with one liners during a firefight |

Some of the script was obviously written with a certain amount of dramatic license as with all true stories. Cheesy it wasn't. |

I agree it wasn't cheesy and is a great film based on a true story, I enjoyed the Hurt Locker but found this to be even better and could easily watch it again. |

I think it took me through every emotion known to a human being, anger, upset, excitement, dread......Hurt Locker was a decent movie. I think people have found Lone Survivor hard to watch as its based on events that are fairly recent, usually war movies are more historical in nature. But it did show how brutal, exhausting and utterly heartbreaking war is. |

Dallas buyers club 8/10
Outstanding performances from both mcconaughey and leto. Woodruff is the epitome of the antihero.
Nymph()maniac vol. 1 & 2 7/10
May have lost something when it was slimmed down from 5hrs to 4hrs, i sometimes need a bit of time to evaluate lvt's films though. |
