Is it me or does the internet make people more gullible?? The things I've seen people sucked in by after reading them on Facebook or some bizarre news source that no ones ever heard of are just baffling!!
If I read something that seems a little too strange to be true I tend to do a little digging to see if it can be verified by other sources (granted these too are online but I don't have much other option)
Example: a friend of mine has just reposted a news story from an online source called the daily bale saying that they are thinking of banning black pudding as it's racist!! Tagged onto the post was a tirade of people ranting about how ridiculous it is that they are trying to ban it! .even reading the story you can tell it's totally made up!!
Asked him if he believes everything he reads on the internet. His reply 'well my cousin is clever and if she believes it so do I!'

"I saw the black pudding thing last night. Ridiculous! People were almost organising riots to fight it. Total muppets!!!! "
I've had a good look around and the only source of this story is the daily bale which id never heard of until today but apparently is well knows for posting hoax stories just to kick up a fuss!! |

I don't think the internet makes people more gulible, it just provides a platform for them to expose their stupidity.
Oh, black pudding, from Stornaway ... Oh my god! Excuse me whilst I order a crate full. |

"to be honest it wouldnt suprise me at all with the way things are going
not saying anymore on this or else it will turn into a rant "
It's not true though, and didn't take me 30 secs to find that out.
I agree with a previous poster that people probably just like to get on their high horse about things without finding out the facts first |

I have no issue with black pudding, supremisist white pudding on the other hand should be banned immediately! "
I don't like either. My vote is for purple pudding. I like purple |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I think there have always been lots of gullible people but before the internet they were a little more protected from showing their gullibility, along with any bigotry they might harbour.
Anything on the net that mentions Muslims, race, benefits and unemployment I now triple check, especially if lots of people are up in arms about it and using terms like "PC gone mad".

That would be chocolate pudding then? It might be hard to sell it as purple pudding unless it's wrapped in purple.
I'll offer to be purple pudding as I wear purple well. In fact, I am wearing purple today.

Not sure if people are gullible or just stupid?
I have seen similar rantings on a daily mash story that people believed and probably the funniest an number of prominent BNP members ranting about a giant mosque in Brighton which was actually a pictuee of the Winter gardens...
Some people are so full of hate that they will latch on to any crap if they think it panders to their prejudice and hatred. |

This made me think of the program "Catfish" about internet dating and fakes. I fail to see how some people are chatting to others who apparently live within 30 mins of them for years in some cases but have never met them. They come up with all sorts of far fetched excuses to not meet and usually turn out to be fake but they don't see it! |

I've still not seen that yet. Keep meaning to watch but forget! |

There's a Facebook page called "christians agains Slipknot". It's a complete joke and pretty obvious if you have an IQ above 7 but the regular tirades on there are almost as funny as the posts themselves. |

They are banning all kinds of pudding. It's a drive against the obesity epidemic. Savoury foods only from July 2014.
They are also researching a double vaccine against obesity and hair loss. Due August this year. It will be in with the flu virus so that people don't turn it down. |

Oh, black pudding, from Stornaway ... Oh my god! Excuse me whilst I order a crate full. "
I agree. You only need to see how many people are taken on by rumour and gossip and base their opinions on it. The lack of independent thought displayed by some human beings terrifies me. |

I really would much rather use what's left of my faculties to make my own mind up but I can see the attraction of having someone else tell you what to think, it has been achieved with spectacular results over the years. |

pool and snooker should be banned anyway.
the white ball controlling all the coloured balls.
something just not right there lol.
my mum got a 24 hour ban for talking about faggots and peas on a black country group on basefook, because it was deemed homophobic. |

Americans don't know what faggots are. I wonder what they thought the peas were about?
