The psychology is not straight forward. Suffice to say that some will unconsciously try to replicate the experience of their first male role model in most cases it would therefore be their father.
Equally some will try to go for the complete opposite of that experience and then some will do neither. Attraction is multifaceted and complex, it would not do it justice to put it as simple as "girls go for an image of their dad"  |
