Gravity failing and floating off into space. Sounds pathetic but at one point I couldn't leave the house because of it. Probably a form of agoraphobia as I can't walk across open land or a mall forecourt without holding onto someone

Storms, especially thunder, i break out in a real sweat if I know we have one coming. I used to hide in cupboards or under the stairs when I was a child..I can't even go near a window during a storm, however at the end of last summer at the grand old age of 56 . I made myself stand on the doorstep, then went or rather ran into a car...I was soooo proud of myself. My eldest daughter was so chuffed for me that she burst into tears...bless her....

My real fear is wind, its not irrational really as strong winds are dangerous. Im terrified of trees being uprooted and smashing through the bedroom window and killing me. I cant lie in bed when its very bad, I curl up on a bean bag in the corner of the room.

I know when the fear started too, 1990 when we had gale force winds and the actor Gordon Kaye was injured and in a coma. I really don't know why it affected me, I wasn't a fan of the actor or the programme Allo Allo.

Ive been scared recently

"I maybe being irrational here, but I think some of you lot are quite rational with your fears.

Read my comment you'll change your mind... Nope I would be scared of that too. "

York

I used to have a job where i was required to check a safe at the top of a building in the middle of the night. I always feared meeting myself coming up whilst going back down the stairs!! Scary.... think they call it Doppelganger

"I'm scared of rolled up carpets. I dream at least once a week that I'm rolled up in one and dropped in the sea. So I avoid carpet shops like the plague.

This one is a cracker. I've just laughed rather too loudly reading it.

Ha lol thanks for caring "

Told hubby, he said he totally agrees with you lol.

Pointed out how often carpet is involved in heinous crimes. Now I'm frightened of him suggesting we go to Allied.

Another of my fears is driving under a bridge over a motorway while someone is leaningon the rail above my lane. I've had my vehicle targeted like this in past and once saw someone on M60 at Stockport who had climbed over barrier, looking like they were going to Jump.

So, altogether not exactly an irrational fear.

I am not scared of wind farms _ I just hate them with an irrational amount of passion. Let's start another thread about who hates wind farm !!

Ugly, noisy, expensive and useless piles of crap !

I have a kindred spirit/fellow weirdo lol "
