Gravity failing and floating off into space. Sounds pathetic but at one point I couldn't leave the house because of it. Probably a form of agoraphobia as I can't walk across open land or a mall forecourt without holding onto someone |

That's another secret out of the bag. " Clowns is quite a common fear, I know a few guys like that, and I am not too keen myself. |

I saw a trailer for it and came out in an instant sweat. I don't think I will be watching it |

I've never been on a plane and would have to be sedated if it ever happened I think.
People say it's safer than crossing the street, but that doesn't change the fact I don't have wings and can walk and swim a lot better than I can fly! |

"I really never EVER let any limbs hang over the side of the bed at night, for fear of getting grabbed by something...lol "
When I was a kid I used to do that, and I used to jump about a metre from the edge of the bed, onto the bed, just in case something grabbed my ankles! |

Someone chasing me up stairs is mine
I laugh hysterically/maniacally, which in public could be embarrassing.
Thankfully it's usually hubby listening to me squealing in terror. |

Storms, especially thunder, i break out in a real sweat if I know we have one coming. I used to hide in cupboards or under the stairs when I was a child..I can't even go near a window during a storm, however at the end of last summer at the grand old age of 56 . I made myself stand on the doorstep, then went or rather ran into a car...I was soooo proud of myself. My eldest daughter was so chuffed for me that she burst into tears...bless her.... |

Escalators !
I can go up, the up ones, no problem! But the ones going "down" - just freak me out ! I know it's from being pushed onto one by someone I didn't know when I was a child. |

I'm not frightened of anything until it actually happens and one of the things that gave me the biggest fright of my life was opening my door to a really, really tiny person (it was actually one of my friends on his knees) but that scared the living daylights out of me |

My real fear is wind, its not irrational really as strong winds are dangerous. Im terrified of trees being uprooted and smashing through the bedroom window and killing me. I cant lie in bed when its very bad, I curl up on a bean bag in the corner of the room.
I know when the fear started too, 1990 when we had gale force winds and the actor Gordon Kaye was injured and in a coma. I really don't know why it affected me, I wasn't a fan of the actor or the programme Allo Allo.
Ive been scared recently |

Drowning...have no reason for it but I've never been a strong swimmer because I can't bare staying in the pool when it's busy in case someone puts my head under the water. I can't even fully put my head under the water in the bath! |

You know you would cross the bridge to cop a feel lol "
I am okay if i am in a car, because I know it is only 15-30 seconds...walking around a bridge is a different kettle of fish....I would have to psyche myself up....
never walked across the tyne bridge |

Drowning.
I am a good swimmer and have been since I was young and then I watched a programme on TV and someone went into explicit detail on what it would feel like to drown and it has played on my mind since. |

Drowning or being trapped under water freaks me out. Even though I love swimming and surfing when I get the chance, but could never go scuba diving. Even panicked the only time I tried snorkelling.

Told hubby, he said he totally agrees with you lol.
Pointed out how often carpet is involved in heinous crimes. Now I'm frightened of him suggesting we go to Allied.

Another of my fears is driving under a bridge over a motorway while someone is leaningon the rail above my lane. I've had my vehicle targeted like this in past and once saw someone on M60 at Stockport who had climbed over barrier, looking like they were going to Jump.
So, altogether not exactly an irrational fear. |

Ugly, noisy, expensive and useless piles of crap !
