to become emotionally attached to a car??
we traded our car in for a new one 2 weeks ago, she cried as we left it at the dealers and i admit, i was choking back the tears a bit too.
we are both not "excited" by the new car whereas the old one was always a joy.
and today, we saw it, being driven by someone else and again, she burst into tears when she saw it.
is this normal ?? |

Much as I love cars I have no emotional attachment. I may regret selling some but that is more for financial reasons.
At the end of the day, it's just a car |

"What kind of car was it?
was a 2007 freelander2
changed to a new pug 308 "
Ahh so was it a family car more than being used by one person? and you have a lot of memories of places you've been with the car? |

not a family car, just me & the wife, but we did pull our caravan with it, just really loved the car.
sadly both car and caravan has had to go since we took the wifes elderly mother in to live with us (alzheimers)
cant use the caravan with her so that had to go, and she struggles to get in & out of the land rover so had to get something smaller |

You've done a good thing so let that console you. It's only a car after all. |

Ahh So the change of car was more of a necessity rather than you wanted to change it. But I do understand people getting attached to there Cars Hammond on Top gear with his beloved Oliver. |
