Can do both, read the situation.

If theres a big personality i can sit quietly or join in appropriately, but also confident and can spring to life to liven up a situation without the ability to piss people off

That's like me. My job demands being 'on stage' but when I get the chance I like to observe before making my move. I was more extrovert when I was younger though...so it's changed over time.

The reaction I get depends on my mood at the time. If I'm feeling happy and sociable I'm quick to engage with strangers. If I'm preferring to keep a low profile I do so just as easily.

Rather than necessarily having an immediate impact on the whole group, I tend to connect one on one, or one on a few at a time. People tend to remember me, because I make a point of getting to know something of them, including their name, and I get off on making them smile. It's nice to be nice.

Depends on which room, sometimes it's a dramatic entrance, sometimes slip in quietly and hide behind the curtains.

If Minxie is there we never enter until 15 minutes later, it's unsafe until the debris settles

In a social situation I prefer to greet people individually and just mix with small groups. I am too short and deaf see and hear what is being said or happening.

I vary, I'm a bit of an attention whore so frequently expect people to be giving me their attention - probably my insecurities or neediness. If I'm tired, then slipping in would be preferable, unless I know most of the people and some smiles would be uplifting.

It's odd with me - when I'm on duty I can walk into a room and take command immediately. When I'm not working, I'm petrified of rooms full of people and will not go in unless forced too - I am koinoniphobic/agoraphobic.

Have to talk presentation style to hundreds of people every year and they're strangers. Have no fear of delivering information for several hours with no notes, getting to know them, making jokes and taking control.

Socially totally the opposite of it involves large numbers. I shake!

I think it totally depends on my mood. Sometimes I can feel high in self esteem and be happy to be centre of attention.

Other times I'm can be shy and slide under the radar. It normally eases and I settle into the crowd.

If I am really keen on being there I tend to be a little shy and want to slip in without fuss strangely if its somewhere I am not really bothered about being I make much more of an entrance.
