Stockings vs Holdups
Jump to: Newest in thread
me too, I used to swear by hold ups but have found myself at work with one sliding down my leg at the most awkward of times . I've tried everything and none of it worked so now I'm a conformed stocking and suspender belt woman, I get round the fiddly suspender bit by attaching the stocking first then putting the whole lot on. |

I wear hokd ups all the time even for work. Rarely have a problem. Tights always slide down so the crotch ends up round your knees. And suspenders can ping off and are a pain to fasten up again.
I buy mine from Marks and Spencer or John Lewis. |

Being almost 6ft and a larger lady, I can rarely find stocking or hold-ups that come any further than 3 or 4 inches above the knee. When I can, I end up having to pay a fortune for them and having chunkier thighs, hold-ups just don't 'do as it says on the tin' so I have to resort to the suspender belt even with those. I just wish I could find very long stockings or hold-ups for a reasonable price |

This. M+S holdups are great. I like stockings but sometimes they're too much faff. I like the flash of the holdup top under a skirt, so wear those more often than not. |

"Stockings and belt for me. I get my industrial strength belts from stockingshq."
I get mine off shq too, I like the metal clasps rather than plastic ones you get on basques etc, I love the ffs stockings too and I have a fresh delivery of stockings just waiting for a man to ask me to wear them for him |

I love wearing my favourite Gypsy brand black seamed stockings from a nearby department store. Go well with my 8-strap suspender by from Stockings HQ.
I do wear hold ups sometimes for dogging or club meets though. Rarely wear tights unless a man asks me to and then it's got to be Wolfords... |

Both hold-ups and stockings are good but I usually prefer stockings with suspenders as the tug on the stockings and the tightness of the nylons when they're tautly suspendered is oh so sensuous!

"I tend to buy the cheapest hold ups I can, once you wash them, thats when they tend, literally, to go south "
I was told to wash hold ups but not use fabric softener on them, it's that evidently that stops them staying up. I now rinse them out quickly by hand and they dry in no time, hope this tip helps. x |

Either of those on a woman look fantastic, I love seeing the tell tale bump of a suspender clip on a womans thigh, or the line on her bum cheek. It is gauranteed to start me off. |

"Holdups for me too. Stockings & suspenders too fiddly and uncomfortable. Never heard of holdup gel? Can't imagine how that would work?"
It's basically water based glue. It was originally sold for holding up the socks of Irish and Scottish dancers - the ones who leap about - and is imaginatively known as "sock glue". |

Sock Glue! Brilliant! Is it the same thing as is used for stick on bra cups? Never tried those! Re keeping socks up, I remember my mum making me sock garters from narrow elastic, but maybe gluing them up is better for the circulation, if not for the skin? Hmmm, much food for thought lol! |

I buy M&S or John Lewis hold ups. Usually fishnets though opaques for colder weather. I wear them the time for work and have done for years. Never a problem.
However, I've just discovered the joy of suspender tights - basically stockings with built in suspenders. So no fiddling and, if you have problems with hold ups sliding down, they solve all problems. |

"I tend to have trouble getting stocking or hold ups to fit as I'm a big gal. So end up buying expensive hold ups and wear them with a suspender belt. Only wear them for special occasions. "
I wear hold ups with suspenders too but I never buy expensive ones. M & S do some lovely lace top ones for £5 or £6. I'm waiting for a delivery from them |

Personally think there is nothing sexier than a woman in hold ups that go right up to just beneath the crotch, usually found on shorter ladies, so damn hott! |

Stockings for me. Hold ups do nothing of the sort here as they really don't. Lol!
Stockings with a 6 strap suspender belt is the most flattering for me.
I just must remember to put my knickers on last next time... |

Both look damn sexy in their own right, but suspenders are more classy in my book.
There's a certain forumite that I would to love to see in her agent provocateur gear that she told me about |
