Why do people take things personally? If someone doesn't know you and they misconstrue what you write and get offended, whose fault is it? I'd state it's the recipient because you have a choice as to whether you own the "offence".
I would state the same goes to actual insults... don't own them peeps. Remember two things (a) these people do not know you so how can they effectively judge you? (b)"Sticks and stones...".
The same goes for the judgement call of people being ignorant because they judge you by their own yardstick, eg: the deluge of threads we have have declaring no response to messages is ignorant.
I try to quash my ego but once a month the vulnerable side of it may emerge... the little bugger  |

"Nor ever will" is a great point, as the words on the screen (the way a person acts or reacts) can be an additional filter for us . |

As I've found out it recently it is very difficult to convey different emotions easily with this media...that said it's hard to do it face to face at times without misunderstanding. True with friends and family nevermind the challenge with strangers or peolle you've only recently met. |
