I thought this was a thread debating out taking the red pill or the blue pill
I like the signs when they say 40mph when you've been sat still for half hour. It feels like they're mocking you!
My favourite has to be 'Caution-oncoming vehicle'

I think they are actually dangerous, apart from the useless M52 closed at J2 when shown on the M4. the Queue Caution and similar messages when there are no queues, mean that on the very few occasions when a warning is needed they are totally ignored.
The old signs with an exclamation mark, and maybe a recommended speed for a mile or so before an incident were often wrong, but at least they were seldom telling you information on a different motorway 80 miles away. |
