Its not too bad... can sting a bit. Just be extra stealthy and I'm sure you'll be ok.

Wear lots of layers, like jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt, usually get given overalls to put over your own clothes.
Went witha group of friends last year, I won the post-session shower bruise count....... 48....ouch!!!  |

Its good fun IF its not too muddy and IF your well padded up first. And for a bloke protect your bell end as it swells up up twice the size if a direct hit. |

Last time we went paint balling was a works team building thing. We had this lardy git who was all mouth on the way there. As soon as he started getting shot he was winging like anything. Made me smile he was all wind and no substance i have to say. It was one of the young women who won which was a nice touch. |

Wear a light fleece with a high zip-up neck to protect that area. Your face will be covered with a mask but wear a beanie to cover your ears.
Gloves are a must - try mtb ones with the armour padding, i found them invaluable. As above, pad up with several light layers and you should be fine.
One tip though - 'apparently' taping a toy retracting knife to the barrel as a bayonet and leaping into the oppo trench screaming like a maniac isn't allowed....  |

The pain is generally ok, but god help you if you get hit on the ear, it's a pain that knows no equal.
Waterboarding? Call that torture?

Went paint balling in Hungary in 1999.
No PPE and got shot in the head from 6ft.
Whilst unconcious the f***er stood above me and fired approx 10 rounds into my upper body.
Spent 6 days in hospital with blood clot in brain and severe bruising to my entire torso.
