Please send photo, how to interpret it.

I see on quite a lot of profiles, the comment of please send photo.

Now the interrogative please is obviously a nice request, but do people insist on receiving photos from folk who have public pics on their profile, or is the comment aimed at people with no public pics.

It just strikes me that asking for a pic with an introductory message suggests that the recipient will view it and then decide as to whether to look at the senders profile.

Any thoughts on what is probably a well trodden path.

I take it to mean they want a face pic first to see if they want to take it any further so there is no awkwardness down the line.

We can only speak for ourselves but In a nutshell, face pics help speed up decisions and If a profile contains public face pics, we don't ask for anymore. We always send them with our initial messages, it's just courtesy.

I can understand the face pic thing, I suppose I'm being a little precocious.

I agree with this , but I am always wary of people that ask for it straight off , as it suggests they only are looking for physical attributes in someone , rather than being interested in the whole package .

Physical appearance is the first thing we look at as it's the first thing we're presented with before we converse with someone. However, we don't rely on it solely and regardless of how someone looks, if they struggle with mature communication we'd be less likely to move forward.

I don't see that as a problem, particularly where a face pic is requested. Nice to know what your potential meet looks like, facially.

I love to chat to a guy before a met get a little banter going, tease and flirt, but if there is no physical attraction then I am not going to want to have sex with them, so call me shallow but yes I ask for a pic with an initial message, but I also ask for some general info too if the profile is short on details. I can then decide if I want to take it further, surely this is just an informed decision??
