Doncaster

Mine would be the smell of freshly cut grass, playing out in the summer. Everytime I smell the smell I am transported back to being a young child, laughing and playing in the summer fields.

sitting out in the woods through the night, listening to the forest night life going about it's business...

The owls in the tree at the bottom of the garden

The badger that used to rip the rubbish bags apart

Fishing with my pals down at the lake

Walking out to the top of the highest nearby hill in the morning to watch the sun rise....and again in the evenings to watch it set

Stealing about town in the middle of the night stealing road signs

Discovering Robert Frost poetry

My tree

getting shot

school.....loved everything about it (and for all the wrong reasons)

My English teacher...who loathed me with a passion but taught me to analyse and debate with an equal passion

Oh....the list can go on and on....i loved my childhood....lots of regrets about my own behaviour...but would not change anything

.

My mum making me milky coffee before school.

Walking in the woods near where I lived and fishing for tiddlers.

Bringing home frogspawn, forgetting about it and then wondering why we had dozend of tiny frogs in our backyard.

Going to the Co-op for a pound of broken biscuits andif they didn't have the ones I liked some would get accidentally broken.

Cuddling my mum, mind you I miss that even now

Waving cheerio to mum on any given morning in the summer hols and not knowing what time I'll be back.

Scrumping Mr Green's apples (who didn't mind really as he was a lonely old man who's wife had passed on)

Going to the shops on a Saturday morning with my 10p pocket money and coming back with an arm full of sweets AND a comic (try getting the same deal now huh)

Making a den under the elderberry tree in our back garden.

Playing 20-a-side football down the park until sunset.

Then playing 'Knock Up Ginger' on the way home lol
