Mind you it isn't just shellfish, have you ever walked around a French 'fish' market. They don't throw much back, a lot of what they were selling looked like bait.

In Japan they had rotary display units with things like bits of octopus tentacles with the suckers still on in little vacuum packed bags, gross

I've also never had Chicken Chow Mein- or anything oriental as such come to think of it.

"In Japan they had rotary display units with things like bits of octopus tentacles with the suckers still on in little vacuum packed bags, gross "

"Lychee!

Lychees are lovely. Nice and juicy and dribbles down your chin..

do you eat them as they are?

You have to peel them off the skin and eat it. Just be careful y'ou don't swallow the stone in it.

Has anyone ever tried jackfruit?

Yep, when I was in Malaysia. I couldn't pluck up the courage to try durian though.

What's a Durian? Looks like a jackfruit to me (had to google it) but it isn't?

Jackfruit is so yummy isn't it.

Durian is the fruit you are not allowed to take into hotels or on planes because its so stinky.

I loved the fruit in Asia. Mangosteens were my favourite.

Have you heard of this fruit called Physallis?

...there's no way i'm eating that with a straight face.

Yep, they're very nice. The name has the emphasis on the second syllable, not the first."

Or just call it a Cape Gooseberry.

Ive tried too much of the stuff I shouldnt have. But brains, tripe, sea food, insects, dog are gonna stay off the menu. Rabbit was foul and regret that.
