A study has revealed that many MPs have suffered increased psychological strain since the last general election, finding the job stressful, especially in the wake of the expenses outrage, according to a new study.

Politics is a high pressure stressful job and it must be galling for those few honest MPs who are tarred with the same brush as the many dishonest ones. I'm not surprised they're feeling stressed. Some backbench MPs have served their communities tirelessly for many years but never get promoted to the front benches, yet still they do their job commendably well. Those MPs are the ones I admire and if they are suffering from stress then that needs to be addressed as honest politicians are few and far between and should be valued. |
