couldnt find any work elsewhere then, huh.
ah well, good that fans of eastenders know that its just a dumping ground for actors that fail to break it big when they leave
(lets be honest, how many have left for bigger and better things then come back because 'they asked and the scripts were so good i couldnt turn it down')

Why do people feel the need to chip in about it not being real? Of course people know it's not frigging real, they're just chatting about a tv program they enjoy watching is there any need to chip in with the patronising comments?
Ive seen plenty of threads on here about other tv programmes with people chatting enthusiatically about the characters but because it's a soap and not some 'cool' popular at the moment tv drama etc you get the usual stuck up comments mocking people who just enjoy watching a certain program, whih by the way has been running for well over 20 years a damn sight longer than most tv shows so must be doing something right. It say's alot more about them than the people they are mocking really  |

Visiting my mother last night had to watch emmerdale and coronation street, cos she always does. She was quite shocked that I didn't know the people in it either as actors or characters, and proceeded to tell me who they were what they did / do both on the shows and in life like it matters that I know this.
Weird thing was she knows them much better than she knows me! Real or not for some it's like a comfort blanket, extended family she can know and like / dislike without consequences. No harm in that. |
