I wasn't allowed to have my ears pierced, and had to wait till I was 16 until I could wear shoes with heels, that seemed terribly unfair. 
I always had to be home earlier than my other friends. |

I wasn't allowed to cook or get food as I had a lot of step siblings and food was carefully rationed in meals for everyone together.
My friend was an only child and it used to blow my mind when he went in the kitchen cupboards and started doing some food for himself. |

I wasn't allowed to have my ears pierced so my friend tried to do it with a needle whilst numbing my ear lobe with a frozen beef burger.
it all ended badly with me passing out & then being grounded for breaking the rules!!

I wasn't allowed bought cakes and biscuits and sweets.
Not cos we weren't allowed sweet stuff but because we didn't have much spare cash. There were always plenty of homemade goodies but in the contrary way of children everywhere I was convinced bought goodies were nicer! |

Belive it or not but I wasnt allowed to shave me legs n armpits as it was vain. i suffered years of bullying from it till at 15 i'd had enough n i finally did it behind my mums back at a friemds house |
