Ditto. Never had a problem and I've been using Gmail since it was in testing.

I've just closed one hotmail account and opened another. Had no problems with it at all. I have a Windows phone and it synchronises everything

I use hotmail or outlook as its called now, if i want to use an alias its simple to set up & anyone who emails that addy sends a message to my main outlook account without having to give them my normal one.

My first ever dial up connection was with AOL! If someone asked me to email them on an aol account I'd assume they still used ask Jeeves and the like.

I did hear they were scanning mail, never read much though, probably using it to target adds like they do if you search for something, if you open a ad heavy website 90% of the ads will be similar to something you've been googling. My local papers site is murder for it.

I've never seen an ad in yahoo because I sign in on Firefox and have an adblocker on.
