Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Are you a yoga person?

Do you think it's just for women?

What do you get out of your yoga practice?

I'm going to be as soon as I get my arse in gear and buy some suitable clothing and find a class.

I just wear what I wore to work and always wear loose trousers that day. If it's a day I am not out at meetings and working from home then it's joggers and a loose top. You have the clothes now just find the class.

Apparently I over rotate in Warrior II...who knew! Can't beat yoga for core strength and at 45 mins a pop burning 250 cals is a bonus

I can have two biscuits then.

I still think the other picture is your best pose of the two.

Isn't that the same as half the cals so eat twice as much.

Noted too...I actually prefer my back...I'll rotate them and see.

I need to do yoga.I'm very unflexible and sometimes look like an old man my muscles are so tight. But at the moment with a little bit of stretching I get back to normal.

I don't think I will ever be getting my foot overmy head though.

At 40 I don't think I'll ever getback to being able to do box splits either

Years of martial arts is great for flexibility but damn do you seize up when you stop!

Don't try and bring logic to the biscuits. I have been resisting them all week.

My yoga teacher didn't take up yoga until she was in her mid forties. She is 68 now, looks 40 and her body looks a very toned 35. She went from doing nothing to being awesome.

I'm definitely a yoga person, I love it. Done it for years, taking occasional breaks, but it is easier to get back into it than someone who has never done it.

There are lots of styles though, and I've found it interesting to explore a few different types. Overall, I've always got more from it when I practice on a mat somewhere, in addition to the group sessions. I like mixed classes, the vibe is a little different and a bit more open. Sometimes someone's stretch can catch your eye, and be a warming distraction.

The class I go to has had different phases of being mixed and all female. We laugh a lot more when it's all female. I like it when people join who introduce new positions.

I can't do hot yoga - it's a bit smelly.

Great for flexibility and relaxation. Usually nod off at the end, however many women doing cat stretches in front of me usually make it difficult to stay 'soft'!!
