have booked a very nice steak restaurant for next weekend for a special occasion and made me wonder, what steak do you go for and how do you have it cooked?
I like a bone-in rib-eye rare/medium rare |

"i dont like it so rare its still breathing lol I like it well done"
I guess steak is a bit like swinging, everyone has their own preferences which others may or may not agree with! Which cut do you go for? |

"Dare I say I don't like steak "
your choice....so absolutely fine! I find steak cooked in a proper steak restaurant in a proper broiler is a totally different experience to steak cooked at home, worth trying one day. |

A restaurant near me does Man v Food challenges, 1 of which is a 64oz steak. Don't know what cut it is, think it's just half a cow on a plate.
Personally I like a rib eye cooked on the rarer side of medium. |

1 person to my knowledge. Its not just the steak, its the fries, mushrooms, peas etc that went with it.
A friend of mine attempted it, but she just couldn't get anywhere close. It was 2" thick in places! |

Sirloin tonight for me. Salt and peppered before going into red-hot pan, cook medium rare, straight onto plate with steak-chips, onion rings and peppercorn sauce.

"Thick cut, seared and blue please!
Served with Mushrooms in a nice thick black pepper cream sauce and a side salad, washed down with a bottle of fitou."
Fitou, good choice, although I'm finding Malbec my favourite to wash down steak at the moment |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |

Then you need to go to my favourite Argentinian steak place. They have the best Malbec and steak offer I have ever seen or tasted.

Try the Palm on Pont street or the Butlers Wharf Chop House just near tower bridge. Both serve excellent steaks. |

I've done 32oz. With chips and sides. Would try 64 but might struggle. |
