I was travelling round Europe with some friends of mine during the summer , as we came to the end of the journey we we're spending a few days in Amsterdam . When we arrived we thought we'd check into the hostel only to find my friend had booked for the following day so we had no room for the night . With no other places close by that were in our price range we ended up sleeping on the street for a night  |

I went on holiday with a (as I thought at the time) friend. Whilst away she spotted a guy who she really fancied. Unfortunately he liked me better...
We were out on a pub crawl with a group of people from our hotel and she was trying to chat him up as he was trying to attract my attention so I went and danced for a bit to avoid it all. When I came off the dancefloor I couldn't find her and the group I had gone out with and was starting to feel unwell so wanted to go back to the hotel. But we'd been warned by the rep not to walk from the bars/clubs area back to the hotel alone.
The only people I could find were this guy and his friend who could see I was unwell so took me back to the hotel, saw me safely to my room then went off back to party promising to tell my friend if they found her.
I spent the next few hours being very ill and finally at 5am I managed to fall asleep when the door banged back and in stormed my friend, grabbed me by my hair and punched me in the face shouting about what a cow I was for going home with the guy she fancied. The rest of the pub crawl was watching through the open door.
When my reaction was to crawl to the bathroom and start throwing up violently she accepted that it was unlikely that I'd shagged him and proceeded to arrange to sleep in another room cos she didn't want to try to sleep through me being ill.
The following day the rep called the doctor who diagnosed gastroenteritis complicated by a severe ear infection and was very puzzled by my black eye.
My supposed friend spent the rest of the holiday being overly solicitous to me in front of other people but ignoring me when it was just the two of us.
She also spent the flight home whinging loudly about her ears popping to distract people from the fact that I was white, sweating and silently crying due to the pain of flying with an ear infection.
I'd arranged a friend to pick us up from the airport and she was trying to flirt with him all the way home. He obviously read my face and waited till we'd dropped her off before he asked what happened. I had to take a week off work cos I still couldn't keep anything down so couldn't take the tablets for the ear infection and couldn't stand up properly.
I never spoke to her again. |

Not so much of a nightmare then a shock.
Was in marmaris turkey and staying in a small hotel. It was at the time when they were having a problem with terroists sticking small bombs in rubbish bins. It was around 5 am and i was literally blown out of my bed by the explosions that was in the apartment next door..The bomber had blown himself up and took off the front of the building as well. 
And i was in tsilivi in zante and comming back to my apartment when we had an earthquake of 4.5 on the richter scale.  |

To me, being naked at home in front of family is normal as that's how I was bought up so I knew already to a degree but it wasn't until 2wheels got an eye full of my dad did I truly realise!

went to the south of france in 1999 got an infection in my leg ended up in hospital my now hubby left me there and got the kids home as I was not allowed to sit in the car that length of time so I was in there 8 days till the docs came in and said they wanted to cut my leg
they meant lance it but after a few choice words from me I was put on a flight home!!! the ambulance journey was hilarious.. things falling off it etc .. didn't know who was going to be there for me at heathrow lucky hubby was waiting by that time
was so relieved to see him ..but they had sent me back with a French letter so nobody knew what I had wrong the most terrifying holiday ever and still have scarred leg |

Awkward-I had a similar ex-wife mother went topless on a holiday .
It was the same holiday that I had a massage on the beach and when she pulled my arms up and back behind me, she lifted my front up. That's how my parents learnt I have both nipples pierced.
