Letting go

I've just spent my last hour at work on the phone to a customer who had an issue LAST year with the company I work for, now the issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently for the customer at the time, ( last year )

Said customer still wants answers to the issues a year on even though they have been dealt with....

So my question is!!!

Are you a dweller ? Who brings things up years after the event?

Or do you accept the first answers to issues and then let things go?

I hope you had the chance to transfer his call to someone in Abu Dhabi, as there is more chance that they'd be interested after a year had passed than anyone rational.

How many wives have you had so you can make this enlightening judgement ?

It depends what it is.

If I know I'm being lied to I might keep on until the truth comes out.

If I'm satisfied with the answer/outcome (wether I like it or not) I'll let it go.

Ditto. My ex (a male) randomly throws up something from years ago . Come on life & time move on.

Deal with that infront of you then let it go already.

Life is simply too short to be looking behind you all the time.

I wasn't thinking of an office there, just ANYBODY in Abu Dhabi....

When I worked on nights in a call centre we had the number of a phonebox in King's Cross and would transfer anything lengthy, involved, complicated, unpleasant and with anyone whom we took a dislike to just to save us having to deal with it in the last 10 minutes of our shift. The rationale was that by the time they called back the lines would have swapped over and we'd be out the building anyway. It worked like a charm for 3 years...

This is a swinging site, so if he has been lucky then he could have had loads of wives

Hopefully he wouldn't have been arguing with them though.

We also reached an understanding with most of the people who called us. If they phoned before 2AM, we were interested, ditto after 7ish. Anything short of a ram raid inbetween and we weren't interested. This was because we were all asleep. Eventually most people just stopped calling, as they never got anything logged as we became adept at dodging calls.

After 3 happy wonderous years we all got made redundant as there was no obvious need to have the place manned after midnight.

It all depends what it is, I have a really good memory, so rarely forget, if I think I am flogging a dead horse, I can become quite indifferent, if its something I feel strongly about I rarely let it go until its been resolved to my satisfaction.
