The Commonwealth spokesman for UKIP and the vocal 'Asian face' of the party has been outed as the head of a kidnapping gang who came to the UK from Pakistan as part of commiting a kidnapping, to collect the ransom! When caught he was jailed but later succesfully claimed asylum which stopped him being deported back to Pakistan.
UKIP spokesman, you couldn't write the script! |

Different.
So what should be made of recent leading Politicians who played a full and knowledgeable role in unlawful rendition?
Set a bad example and what can you expect? |

actually... and this is a first... I am going to stick up for UKIP...
he was actually originally a member of the conservatives... and then defected to UKIP....
and he has now apparently left UKIP to go back to the conservatives....

Was he tried and convicted of it then? |

And once again, I am picturing UKIP's press secretary picking the phone up as if it is a live hand grenade with a dodgy pin, taking a load of tablets for his nervous disposition that he never had before he took the job on, listening with his eyes wide open, putting the phone down and saying, 'fuck my life.' |

He was an asylum seeker and yes he did serve time and its spent I would think all parties can take on people with such a background as they felt people can change. I really don't see why race has to be brought into it there are many Asians who go for political office so why "couldn't you write the script?" |

If a foreign national who is already a criminal comes to this country with the intention of committing more crime, is caught and convicted. Then at that point claims asylum in order to stay in the country, the party I'd least expect him to become a spokesman for is UKIP. |

That's odd he was arrested and convicted in the UK he applied for asylum as he feared for his life back in his own country and the home office looked into it and agreed he was that's why he was allowed to stay. Why he joined UKIP I guess would be that he agreed with some of their ideas most likely not all of them as few positions are in 100% party agreement Why did you feel the need to emphasise 'Asian Face' it was almost......well his race doesn't matter in relation to his political beliefs does it? |

The Tories will take anyone, especially someone who appears to bolster their multi ethnic credentials.
As for UKIP, a defector from the Tories is their wettest of wet dreams. |
