I'm more likely to reply to someone who gives me something to reply to, rather than just 'hi?' (er, hello), 'how are you?' (you don't really want to know so I'll go with a polite 'fine thanks'. I won't ask 'and you?' because I don't want to know!) or 'do you want to chat?' (start a conversation and I'll see).
That's assuming the person sending the message fits what I'm looking for. Messages from smokers, "curvy" men, people with no public photos (who haven't sent one), people with no profile or a profile in textspeak or really bad English are deleted without being read. Crass and crude messages are deleted without reply and the sender blocked.
Anyone messaging having been told no thanks is blocked. |
