A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

They look like tiny little beetles

Perhaps I won't be making cookies this afternoon after all.

"Weavils. Do you keep your flour in an airtight container?"

It was an unopened bag.

I'd take it back and complain then.

I always store flour in an airtight tub though.

Norwich

A few years back I found those tiny mites in a bag of flour. I showed them to a friend who looked in the bag before saying rather dryly 'they'll never eat all that'.

Flour mites eggs are in all flour. Then they hatch out.

Your cookies will have either flour mite eggs or flour mites.

Makes 'em extra crunchy

They'll due when you put what your making in the oven. They're not harmful and won't affect the taste.

Brighton - even Hove!

The little creatures were there in the flour before it was bagged. I think you'll have to throw away all your flour and dettox your cupbard and wash everything.
