Fae and money don't always come easy. Yes, it looks like a great lifestyle, not wanting for anything, but imagine a world where every move is watched, every word you speak or write is analysed - intrusion can affect people differently, or just the anxiety of saying or doing the ring thing. The world is full of judges, not everybody can deal with too easily. |

Because some get carried away with their fame and fortune and let themselves be influenced. I imagine that they think all the attention makes them popular and they gain 'friends'. The saying a fool and his money are soon parted is quite true in some cases, unfortunately! |

In the UK 2,597 drug-related deaths were registered in 2012..... I'm sure not all of them were celebrities.

There are 100 or even thousands of celebrities in the world that don't have a drug habit...i think the minority rather then the majority. As I said they are human beings and the only special thing about them is that they are in the public eye and have money... |

Justin Bieber he may be next one if he don't look out .

Because fame and money are thought to be highly desirable it seems difficult to understand why they don't necessarily bring happiness.
As others have posted however happiness, or unhappiness, is probably equally distributed within those who have fame and money and those who haven't. We simply know about the rich and famous.
As a corollary how many 'normal' people are desperately unhappy enough to waste their lives because they don't have fame or money.

In Scotland 10,813 ‘new’ individuals received a specialist assessment for drug abuse in 2011.... out of those 62% reported using heroin.
How many do you think are famous and how many do you think are not?

And 8748 deaths directly related to alcohol...
Alcohol implicated in deaths, according to the Daily Mail 33000
Drugs are bad mkay.
Doing drugs and being able to afford an almost unlimited supply if you lack self control doesn't help.
The previous government sacked their drug adviser for refusing to lie and say that all drugs are bad. |

Famous people will have their own demons , just like us "normal" ones. They don't disappear because of fame & fortune.
I can imagine it being very lonely sometimes , being famous. Not knowing who you can trust.
It's just sad, that those mentioned above have died so young & left bereaved families behind.
And as others have said drugs is not just the playground of the rich. It is sometimes the case of wrong place , wrong time & add in some bad circumstances. I've seen people turn their life around though.

You are making assumptions based on media stories about them...we don't know them personally so we can't say who is going to be next.... |

'Celebrity' means nothing other than the fact they live their lives under a microscope (some court the attention, others don't) and they generally have the money for better drugs!
It doesn't mean they don't have the same insecurity issues, foibles and addictive personalities of the average man in the street; whose death goes unnoticed to everyone but his family, friends and government statistics. |

I watched the film Walk the Line recently a recreation of the life of Johnny Cash. It showed some of this pressure on performers and the ready availability of substances.
I loved Heath Ledger in A Knight's Tale - It was a funny and loveable role for him. So sad for his untimely death it was drugs again.

Yeah, but you or I in the same position may behave in exactly the same way! You'd like to think you wouldn't but who knows? |
