Titz Towers, North Notts

I saw 12 years a slave with work last week and it is a worthy film, as opposed to enjoyable.

Think Schindler's List but with all the joy sucked out of it. I know it's not a comedy, but frankly there is only so much misery you can watch before you start to question why you are still sat there.

Seen a film called "All is Lost" with Robert Redford about a lone man sailing the ocean and his boat hits a container and then it go's down the pan for him... Not great but ok

Of the 3 "blockbusters" that I saw last year, I found Man Of Steel the most disappointing, when compared with Star Trek Into Darkness and Iron Man 3.

I guess I miss Christopher Reeve's Superman much more than I anticipated.

I would highly recommend Star Trek Into Darkness even if one is not remotely into Star Trek though, and I can understand why Benedict Cumberbatch is such hot property after seeing this film.

Anyone seen a happy film that is worth watching? I'm fed up crying, bored with blood and gore and need a happy film that isn't slapstick or sickly sweet

IM3 was shockingly bad.

Not seen second star trek though.

I've seen the main outs out at the moment (Mandela, 12 Years, Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle etc)

Thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Dallas Buyers Club is my next venture

Rush is a very good film.

I liked the new Carrie. I liked that they showed her trying her T.K. abilities out.

southend

Last film I saw at the cinema was 47 Ronin. Not a bad film. Will buy it on DVD when it is released.

I thought Man of Steel was shockingly bad. The original version was much better.
