Having just been flicking through the forum subjects and reading lots of different posts by both males/females and couples we find it fascinating how most (not all) posts by single guys, the op is ridiculed and torn to pieces by some individuals and couples. But, when the same or very similar post is made by a fem, wow, the difference in attitude towards her is unbelievable!
This is only from our observations, we just feel that some people should cut the single fella's a little slack on this site

Agreed as I have had this also,, but on a similar note if you post something non sexual you get very little response from single men yet the slightest sexual mention and you can be inundated with male lewd response |

I tend to.post the same if its male or female I don't always look to see who started thread but avoid the look st me posts or the I'm leaving .........beg me to stay posts as all the females get oh your wonderful don't go and the males get don't let the door hit you on the way out  |

I disagree. I have seen some posts from single women where they have been absolutely slated. As for single men posts being unfairly attacked alot of the time it is justified. Feel free to slate me for that comment - I have broad shoulders and can take it. In fact I'm off to the gym to get even bigger shoulders lol  |

In this respect I agree the response is totally different, however when a femme posts many of the replies are from ............ single guys! Small wonder then that they are going to be positive? |

Also the reaction if other posters to replies is different eg you reply to a woman saying something other than "you are gorgeous" and a fleet of knights in shining armour ride to her rescue, say something dodgy to a guy and it's a different story. I know that's a bit of an over exaggeration but you get my drift. |

Perception is everything.
I don't see single men slated.
I see idiotic comments addressed albeit not always politely.
Sensible , fair minded talk is generally accepted and commented on sensibly regardless of gender.
I do see gender issues playing a huge part in how posts are responded to.
In general females fawn over attractive males or males they think will give them attention and that is equally the same with men.
Even without the sex factor , males tend to go easier on females for many reasons i.e. being perceived as twats, women beaters or bullies.
To some extent SOME women feel safer berating a man than they do a woman as they are less likely to be given it back even if they are totally conscious of it.
Intelligent wiser women and men go easy on either gender where they get the impression that there isn't much going on between the ears. |

That isn't entirely true I have noticed that if I post disagreeing with a woman some (& I emphasise some) men will turn on me. I don't get all the white knights because I don't set myself up for it. I think it's a mutual thing and those engaging in it actively encourage it.....no harm in that if that's what you want. |

the largest group will show up more idiots than the lesser groups...
the larger group IS men, single men.
all of the groups above can bring negative aspects to the scene, sometimes its good to help out..then sometimes there is no hope and just let the twats carry on the way they are doing things. |

I agree. But single guys are to blame as well. Far too many of em are using the forum as a way to "introduce" themselves to a potential meet. So strategy agree with what she says no matter how shite it is in the hope she reads and a window of opportunity is made.

I noticed this after being on the forum for a few weeks. I was lurking in my week of not being able to post. I noticed it's the same people jumping on the single men and either belittling them or calling them sexual deviants for wanting sex. Married men get slaughtered too. Unfortunately you can't stop people commenting on your posts and the poster ends up in a long drawn out argument where he feels he has to defend himself from people who are mostly using the site to fill boredom in their lives |

I think its quite sad that there are a few keyboard warriors and literature police on here with the sole intent on slating people constantly . The daft thing is these people also think they are gods gift when infact they are just avarage! Single guys do get battered on here by couples, single fems that feel tgey hold the power and a few guys that kiss butt in the hope of getting some. I could never be that desperate. I do ok out side of fab .there are also clubs too. Anything that comes from fab is a bonus but no way will I beg which is what some on here unfortunately feel us single guys ahould do. Rant over feel better for that. Dashed my chances now with a few but hey ho plenty of beautiful women out there still lol.

I don't think that is the case at all... otherwise what would all those couples and single women who do like single men do....
what I will say it that I strongly believe that especially single men can be masters of there own fate on here....
you don't have to be a white knight, licking people arses and sliming up to all the women/couples..... conversely I don't think it helps if you are a "grade a arse" either....
the other problem is that people are very quick to go into "victim mode"... oh woe is me... and the last time I check sympathy didn't people many meets..
if you are different, then show you are different! I would like to meet someone who would at least stand up for their own convictions.. whether I agreed with them or not.... |

I disagree.
I think it depends entirely on the subject being posted about.
For example, I'd say 99% of the many utterly stupid threads like"whats wrong with my profile/why won't anyone meet me/who else likes rubber gloves" are started by men. They are much more numerous and therefore you'll notice them being torn into more often.
I've yet to see a single woman ask if there's anything wrong with her profile as she can't get a meet. But if she did I'd be equally as scathing.
What you do see on here a lot is the Knight in Shining Armour syndrome, where when a woman is being an arse and someone calls her on it, many would-be suitors jump in to protect her honour in vain hope of a favour. |

If you are woman and a potential shagg then you are always right no matter how stupid you sounds .
If you are a man then you are a potential competitor and I have to make you look ridiculous .
When I got the balls to join the forum I started off in the Scotish forum for getting to know locals but after few weeks I noticed that there are some individuals (mainly single guys) who think the forum is theirs and any newbie guy to the forum should be slated. So I gave up and found joining the general forums where most participant women are too much far is more interesting. Cause it makes the environment more objective and my compliments won't be taken as an attempt to hook anyone. When I am looking for a potential meet I'd ruther use the search engine. |

Those who become deeply engrossed by the forum to a point of dependency also tend to develop a fucked up perspective on life... this whole "I can put men down for wanting sex unless they pamper to my every need" from some women and the "I must defend the honour of every scuzzer I wouldn't normally look twice at in order to be accepted" from the needy to please XY's.
Once someone has morphed into this, they are going to find pulling in real life an immense challenge.

It would be hard to miss how people are treated differently depending on sex I have heard a few theories from guys sucking up to women in the hope of a meet and putting other guys down who could be compensation and with women I have heard its the bitter twisted ones who have been let down by men who are scathing with men and with women they are nice openly but different in private its all a little sad really. |

"Those who become deeply engrossed by the forum to a point of dependency also tend to develop a fucked up perspective on life... this whole "I can put men down for wanting sex unless they pamper to my every need" from some women and the "I must defend the honour of every scuzzer I wouldn't normally look twice at in order to be accepted" from the needy to please XY's.
Once someone has morphed into this, they are going to find pulling in real life an immense challenge.
It's a good job so many claim they want to be single."
