"Whatever you do don't come and support Newcastle, its seriously BAD for your health "
Ah but....It’s the agony and ecstasy that makes it all worth while…..
Imagine how monotonous it would become if we won every game playing constantly superb football....

"Should I go to City or support Chelsea?"
What's wrong with supporting local team you could do a lot worse than forest plus when they win you'll be happy and when they lose you won't be so dissapointed that's how I get through supporting villa expect misery and defeat and you can't be dissapointed |

I know its a bit rich me saying this but I am a Mancunian been a season ticket holder for over 20 years and I would just say keep the faith!
Ciddy, Chelsea and any other premiership club just do not have the history, the class and the fan base that we have at United. It shows how much people notice when United are in seventh position in the Premiership and its a major workplace discussion topic.
As I say keep the faith and believe in the jock.......... |

The first sentence used by Moyes after the game in the post match interview was. "I don't know what we have to do to win games". Well I noticed this ages ago. Quit or be sacked first came to mind, don't leave all your best players on the bench and pick cleverly and don't get rid and pick your best players and not cleverly. |

'Aye', I've been a true man u fan all my life!!!
......oh, aye, but then came Jose Mourhinio & what dya know - I took my seat at Stan Fords bridge & never looked back!!!
......of course that was untill that night when my team, man u beat chelski on pens - with a certain JT looking very much like me on the JD (with penalties).
Aye, it were great winning the league again though - but was intoxicated with a liquor called aquero, in just a split second, it were a case of 'do I or don't I'??? -
I do love a thriller, I do!!
........but ooooooooh, I'm now enjoying a perfect blue moon & totally sympathise with you, O.P, chook!!! |

If you want to be at the top end of the premiership you got to spend and there are no guarantees. City are playing sublime at the moment though. |

"Go for the pool, original reds and best stadium atmosphere in Europe "
Older stadiums tend to have the best atmosphere. All the singers and chanters have had chance to migrate to the same area of the stadium, a new stadium seems to spread them all out and the atmosphere seems to take a dive. |

"Should I go to City or support Chelsea?"
Judging by your location, shouldn't you be supporting Notts. Forrest? True fans stick with their team no matter what. However, team hopping is expected when over 80% of its fan base are not from it's own base city...who's watching the SuperBowl?! |

Since fergie joined and left united. He spent about £560 million and sold players costing about £320 million. So that's about £140 million he's spent of the clubs money in nearly 27 years. Works at about £5 million. So that isn't really buying trophies, just good business. |

You steategical haven't taken in to account that A: £1 million when fergie started is worth about £15-20 million today, & B: The gloryhunters who made the club rich were around a long, long time before fergie!

I think you should change teams as the fortunes allow. Who doesn't want to be on the winning side in this aspiration driven society?
Football is an affordable way of keeping up with the Joneses. You can support the best team every year with no contract, instead of having to get the best phone to impress people.
Go for it Hal, let us know what you decide. |

Surely if you're seriously considering switching you were never a true fan in the first place!
You've made you decision you have to stick with it. Its from the heart/ gut, its not a change you can make rationally or you never had the fervor and were just following the herd.
Buck up man- losing is character building!

The team's had a rough patch so you're changing teams?
I'm not a football fan but that's a bit lame. They'll pull it back with the right manager.
Seems fans were loving it when they were winning with Fergie but can't stand it when they're losing.

Some fans friend, some fans and I'm not sure they're fans anyway. The glory-Hunters will go wherever the glory is, the glory was with us for 20 years, so ta-ta fickle fans and if we ever get good again, you'll no doubt be back! The supporters will always be there, good, bad or indifferent. Just like every other club in the land.
And just in case my local credentials are in question because I know that's very important to others in such debates, im from Trafford Road in Salford. I bet there's few other buggers on here who walked out of their front door and there was the ground.

I'm quite philosophical about it all. Football is cyclical. We had a bloody good cycle.
Being a romantic old fool, long term solution it may not have been there was something totally magical for those couple of games having Giggs, Scholes, Neville and Butt leading the team. Almost made me emotional, and a bit old as someone who's watched their entire careers.

i think the way west ham are treating big sam is nothing short of disgusting!
waiting to see if qpr or derby get promoted, then they will probably approach whichever manager stays down.
if they are going to sack the bloke, let him go, he deserves that.
the fans are a disgrace too.
booing when they are winning!!!?
what the fook is that all about!???
you want 'west ham' football?
well your welcome to it.
but west ham football has seen you spend as much time in the football league as it has in the premier league, so think on.
oh, and to all those moaning at shallow hall, please take your sarcasm detectors out of the cupboards and turn them on...NOW!!! |

Forest it should be! We,re a club with a great history and we,ll keep plugging away till we join the premiership again.
A club that's won the highest accolade twice as much as City,Chelsea the rest of London and tin pot clubs like Derby together

the thing is, are there really players out htere that are much better than the ones city have?
there is only so good players get, then its down to the management and organisation.
could another manager have got city across the line before now?
could he have gotten them further in europe?

will be a suprise next season for sure.
this year was a blipYes we will see, city gonna spend huge to so might be a close call and yes was a good title end this year.
the thing is, are there really players out htere that are much better than the ones city have?
there is only so good players get, then its down to the management and organisation.
could another manager have got city across the line before now?
could he have gotten them further in europe?
ancolotti or mourinhio (not a fan, but he seems to know how to win)
hence why i say, pelligrini may not be the good manager some seem to think he isYour right there they might get messi or someone, but they need a better defence so they can keep teh lead in all games and make it stronger.
lol, no they wont (messi, not defence)I know he is not defence lol he is a strike, but yes they need defence players as well lol."
no, i meant they wont be going for, or even getting messi |

"Should I go to City or support Chelsea?
For goodness sake! You have one dodgy season under a new manager and are thinking of jumping ship, why not be a real supporter and stand there through thick and thin like many supporters have to?
I know a lot of Man U fans and they are acting like spoilt petulant children cos things aren't going their way.
Welcome to the world of a Toon fan!!!
I think he's joking with his OP.
But your rant was beautiful.
From a thick and thin red who knows none of these petulant children of which you speak. I am not joking and u sure is showing ur maturity arent you, gues ur the male half?lol."
Oh dear communication breakdown (any excuse to mention led zep)
First, you're not the OP, then the message wasn't quoting you and no I'm not the male half. The male half is Dutch and therefore his team is in the Netherlands. |

A club that's won the highest accolade twice as much as City,Chelsea the rest of London and tin pot clubs like Derby together
