You're lucky to have a landlord that will let you have your own style, I wish mine would. You have just given me an idea though. I have to have net curtains because the house is right on the road and I'm not that keen on them. You've given me the idea to make some stained glass window inserts instead, thanks! |

I meant real stained glass, but I will have to insert them on the inside of the existing windows. I'm quite exited about it now. Mind you knowing me it will take until this time next year to decide on a design! |

Isn't it funny that on a sex site I click on someone's photo to get a closer look at their interiors, home interiors that is! |

My home is very minimalist and the colours neutral, all of the walls are cream. I do have some splashes of colour via accessories but in the main I like it very plain.
Which is at odds to my own clothing, look etc |

"What colour scheme do you have....I need ideas "
you cant go wrong with brilliant white walls and ceiling... add colour with floor coverings, furniture, soft furnishings, curtains, art, books and stuff. |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
In my lounge I have antique white on 3 walls and a nice patterned paper on one which is stylised flowers in aqua which matches the aqua pattern on my sofa. The snuggle seat is in a kind of silvery beige with contrasting cushions to match the sofa. The kitchen is all white with charcoal grey porcelain floor tiles. The worktops are sapphire blue quartz - expensive but got a deal online. This contrasts with the copper sink and light fittings.
The rest of the house is white. Except for the bathroom which is in blue and feature walls in the bedrooms. My room has a matt dark blue wall which looks almost velvety and the spare room is in sunshine yellow on one wall.
Only two colours in carpets. Lounge, hall, stairs and landing are in oatmeal. Bedrooms are both off White.
Sounds bland but with lighting and different wall hangings it works well.
Don't like dark colours. Like things light and airy. |

If you wet the window with warm water and fairy it gives you chance to move it around a bit easier. Once in place just leave to dry x |

"I always end up with purples and greens. I have a textured ecru wallpaper in the living room and purple curtains and the chaise longue is purple.
"
The only time I ever heard the word ecru was on a Ken Nordine record. |

When I bought this house and before having kids I had a habit of deciding to decorate on the spur of the moment, to be fair it all needed doing apart from the living room which was something I could live with. Considering a single man in his 30s was living here you wouldn't believe the wallpapers and colours there were! First was the bedroom on the first floor which was mine and my (then) partners bedroom at the time. It had proper granny wallpaper which was quite recently done too
I painted that in a beautiful bright sky blue, with an ever so slightly blue tinged white for the ceiling and woodwork/built in wardrobe doors. Plain beige carpet. Because it was my first house I wanted to make it mine so I painted dragons and other patterns on some walls in silver.
That room is now the kids' room and one wall needed plastering and repapering so I decided to paint that wall and two others in different colours so it now has one blue, one white, one apple green and one pink wall.
Bathroom was next, this originally was decorated with burgundy wallpaper, dark red carpet, mahogany woodwork and thick red velvet curtains I did it all a light greeny blue.
Kitchen I did a light apple green with magnolia on one wall and white woodwork. It was previously bright yellow with yellow gloss woodwork, like lego brick yellow!
My bedroom is the attic room now and I'd painted this all white a few years before to use as a guest room so I left it white and have a bit of a shabby chic theme with a lovely white wood dressing table with ornate mirror, lamps and fairy lights and bunting etc |
