Storm Brigid due to hit

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Just been reading about this storm, it's speculated that it will cause travel caos for at least 48 hours whilst it batters Britain,

Winds in excess of 90 mph and up to 2 inches of rain later today, but the worst will come on the Saturday followed by a week of further rain!

You gotta love the British weather

We've had sever weather warning again here in west Wales. People have already been evacuated from premises on the prom in Aberystwyth Hope its not as bad as a few weeks ago. Stay safe everyone

Let nature flex it's muscles a bit, they are pretty amazing.

"Midlands rain and wind "

I've just driven from J22 to J23 on the M1 and it was horrific. Plenty or morons in Merc's, BMW's and Audi's who think it's acceptable to drive at 90 and undercut at will...

Saw the clips on breakfast tv ...

They were relaying the stone setts from the previous storm damage ...

Damn things will be ripped up and hurled like shot putts

Normally I would agree with that but the last time I drove through a storm on the motorway, it rained so hard everyone even those on the fast lane suddenly slowed down, dead impressed!

They will be saying in summer there will be a hose pipe ban, due to the rain not falling on the right places.

Got to love British weather, might look into getting a hovercraft instead of a car.

Looking on the bright side, we may get to June this year without a drought.

Note I only said "may get", I'm sure all this water is going to waste!

I feel for the areas that have been constantly battered,I can't remember a time when we've had such a relentless barrage of extreme weather across the country like these storms
