Last year I went to a chinese buffet with my wife who I'm separated from - we had already been separated three years by then so it was not romantic at all and more doing it just so we each had done something.. but it didn't really seem right if you get me.

I've never indulged in valentines day and never will...I don't agree with being told that I have to be romantic on a certain day. It's quite cute when you're at school and you send/get sent an anonymous card, but why should I send one to my husband? He knows I love him...don't need to spend money to show him.....bah humbug! |

Never liked valentines day, single or dating. I affectionately call it Clinton Cards day. One girl i was dating said it was a good excuse for a kinky weekend away, I just replied with ' why do you need an excuse'! |

I'm going on a lads weekend away to Glasgow. We've all been married for years so don't need valentines day to show how much we love our wives. Although a couple of blokes made dodgy excuses for not coming and one is seriously in the dog house. |

Whilst it's true that you should show the person you love that you love them everyday I still think it's nice to have one special day as well.
In this fast pace world we live in its nice to just take some time and be overly romantic etc

Florists certainly don't make any extra money at valentines day, because of the demand for red roses/ weather/supply etc, red roses that usually cost £20 a bunch for 20, will go up to £40 a bunch, that's just supply and demand, Valentines day is the same day worldwide, unlike mothers day. And we are in a worldwide market. |
