I'm doing ok.
Wanted to do Dryathlon and I've done well so far. Friday is my last day.
Wanted to get back playing and writing music and so far I've stuck to that.
Not been doing my Japanese or going to my mat martial arts classes but I think I tried to change too much too soon |

I read an article a few days after new years that said that there is a better way of making new years resolutions.
Instead of making a few resolutions, make a new years' theme. If you want to become better at keeping up with friends, make your theme a communication theme. If you need to loose weight, make your theme a health theme. If you need to improve time management, make your theme one that keeps appointments. If you're unemployed, make your theme revolve around improving every aspect of yourself employable.
My themes this year have been communication; because last year I was notoriously bad at keeping up with my friends; and an employable theme, making myself a better candidate for promotions in work. I'm also watching what I eat (not that I need it) in an effort to become healthier.
So far, its worked out pretty well. I've been going to the gym with a friend pretty regularly, and I'm drinking and smoking less. I'm constantly meeting with friends and I've recently been offered that promotion in work. Getting it is another issue, but that's another story. |
