Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It smells like another cat's urine to them. You cat will be thinking someone else has marked their territory on you and you are supposed to their human slave.

Cats sence of smell is alot better than ours and its a nasty smell for their sences to cope with, hence aggression.

Even when you mop the floor make sure your cat dont walk threw it x

Not to a cat. You can't use bleach based products to clear up cat pee as they smell it as another cat has peed where they had and so use that spot again to assert it's their place.

The agression is because the bleach contains amoniac which is also present in the urine and it makes them think its another cats urine. I had many cats at one time and I used to desinfect with bleach. They ruther go curious about the smell and if used in a daily basis they think its one of them and get used to it and accept it as part of the house smell.

It is a good point. Animals other than ourselves have much keener senses, and also cannot rationalise, like we do about something. Smells will trigger emotional changes including behavioural responses that seen peculiar to us. My cat hated bleach too, so we were very careful with use.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

My cats both love the smell of bleach and get quite high around it.

If I go swimming, even if I wash my hair afterwards, one of my cats won't leave my hair alone, trying to get to it to lick and chew it.

The other cat sits and cries as I clean her litter tray with dilute bleach solution. When it's clean and dry I have to put it on the floor for her to roll around in like a nutty thing before I can fill it up with clean litter.

My old cat, also departed, would just pee on the newly cleaned floor.

Anything that turns water cloudy and bleach is harmful to your cat. Biting you was her way of defending herself. She has a very sensitive sense of smell so what was a slight wiff of bleach to you was an overpowering pong to her.

ok sod the bleach you might need to get that bite checked out especially since she drew blood.. puncture wounds from felines are highly infectious
