When you're ill? I'm struggling to eat and drink anything today and I need to get better asap. Omelette made me feel sick, tea is making me feel sick. Don't have an upset stomach just a cold and throaty cough |

Chicken soup and lucozade. Not mixed together, that would be horrible. |

My comfort food of choice when I am ill is Campbell's cream of chicken soup with added chilli and toasted sesame seed oils.
If I have the time, I would make rice congee as in rice soup, and flavour it with a bit of protein and vegetables, plus the obligatory spring onions and toasted sesame oil.

I can't stomach anything creamy at the moment. I want something blandish but high energy. Everything I think of is making me feel sick |

Whenever I have a cold, coughing as in dry tickley cough is what bothers me the most, and I always stock up on cough mixtures in the house, at work, and in my trolley case.

Its not a stomach bug. Throat infection that is making me feel sick. I haven't been sick though. My throat feels like it's constricting and I'm coughing like a heavy smoker |

Everything!!! When I've got a cold I eat everything in site just for energy. I did a thread a week or so ago.. The amount I ate was ridiculous! Just about over it now so off to the gym tomorrow to repent my sins! |

Toasts are good when I feel like a change from soups, with lots of butter and something salty like Marmite or Gentlemen's Relish (spiced anchovy paste), or mayo.
Another comfort food is a big plate of garlicky/buttery/creamy spaghetti.

toast sounds ok but as much as I love marmite I don't think I could stomach it. Gentlemen's relish sounds awful lol |

"I feel rubbish today too full of cold and achy with a nasty cough. I'm just roasting a chicken. Roast dinners fix everything!"
I love a roast myself but no chance of eating one at the moment. I'm wondering if chocolate might be a good idea |

Lucozade, still or fizzy depending which you want to drink or think you can drink, helps replace the electrolytes your body has lost and gives you some energy.
But yeh chicken soup like others have said is always good too. |
