BBB - Bare Backer Beware or RIP
"There is a new STD superbug that experts say may be more deadly that AIDS and could cause an epidemic.
According to a report, an antibiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhea is more aggressive than AIDS, which means the potential to infect the public will be exponentially greater.
Like most STDs, gonorrhea is transmitted through unprotected sexual contact and if left untreated, can cause a myriad of medical complications, such as infertility in women, debilitating pain and sterility in men and life threatening heart infections.
Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine, thinks this new deadly STD has the power to kill more than the 30 million people who have already died from AIDS-related causes worldwide, which would be catastrophic."
Do we think people will now be more responsible, or continue to go the wrong way up a one way street, blind folded with no seatbelt ???

haters gonna hate
potatos gonna potate
barebackers gonna bareback
nothing will stop people who choose to play without protection ignoring the obvious risks of not practicing safe sex

I doubt if this will effect how people behave. Gonorrhea can be spread by oral sex as well so even using condoms won't protect you. As with everything sex carries a risk. |

Can't argue with that... Guess it's their nature to minimise. |

Let's see how this all unfolds once the body count get personal... Things/words tend to mean nothing, till they MEAN something personal. Nothing more personal than loss... |

Source?
I don't think many people will change until it starts to take it's toll. Only once people know friends and family who are infected and public knowledge reaches a certain level will it be taken seriously.
On a semi-related subject, I read an article yesterday about a rapist (in the US) who was told by police in couty that his victim had aids and that he had caught it from them. |

"How long before this thread is closed, cant be good for swinging "
Properly 10 minutes after the 6th to 10th fresh lady comment that's positive about my butt cheeks... Will be too busy chasing them down like Hussain Bolt after a Virgin ....
With protection of course...
Small print: if this forum topic has effected you in any way our online counsellors were ready to discuss, but they are too busy having fun. Guess your just gonna have to man up!
Peace |

I'm unsure of the rules regards posting links, so I hope you don't mind. I am sending it to you directly.
In your story I hear the man was actually filming his victims also... |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
STIs have been getting stronger and more drug resistant for years. As with all things treated with antibiotics they mutate and we need to develop new treatments.
Sadly, we have seen a bit of a reversal on safer sex behaviour, particularly with young people, over the years as Aids doesn't carry a death sentence anymore (here) and everything else is treatable.
Prevention programmes have taken a knock back because of funding cuts too.
Sex is a risk so all you can do is minimise the risk, look after yourself and get checked regularly.
OP, you do have a lovely butt. |

If all the things you can catch already haven't stopped people from playing safe then sadly I doubt one more thing will. At the end if the day it's on them. If they want to take their chances let them, nobody in this day and age can say they weren't aware of the risks. I say that unfortunately rather than with any malice. |

Everyone should look after their own health, that goes without saying. The cdc have been trialling, with 100% success rate so far, different methods to oral antibiotics to treat the infection. Still wouldn't like to catch it though |

Which is why I use condoms. I've lost friends to HIV. |

"...."naturopathic medicine...? A doctor?
I lol'd at that too "
haha yeah its like people who claim to be a doctor and a chiropractor
getting to be a doctor in naturopathy will involve a one week course where you have to pay big dollars |

Firstly, AIDS is not an std, it's a symptom. HIV is the disease. You can't catch AIDS.
Secondly, all sorts of viruses are becoming resistant to drugs, from MRSA to the flu. Yes it's worrying but there are other very powerful antibiotics that do work, they're just generally not prescribed straight away because they have nasty side effects.
Of course bareback is risky but people sat going to do it anyway. The only real way to stay safe is not to have sex at all. Don't believe the hype and protect yourself as best you can. |

"I've lost friends to HIV."
Thanks for sharing this with us. See, a lot of people I have discussed this with feel the same way as I do. Beyond the hype there are people and facts.
Not wishing to detract from the thread, which "was" to get views and comments going about behaviours. I have worked in the NHS (No don't stone me ), let me just share with you all that I have personally blew the whistle on doctor (Prat!!!!) myself. Qualified, experienced and whacky and risky.
I'm not defending the author, nor the doctor. Just because they hold the certificate, doesn't make them God's. Just because they don't, doesn't make them idiots.
If this were the case we could cure the universe of all prats.. Just make them Doctors |
